Ergonomic Assessments

Ergonomic, or Workstation Assessments, are completed to ensure employees are able to work comfortably at their workstation and limit the risk of developing any musculoskeletal pain or injuries.

There have been recent updates to relevant Workplace Health and Safety legislation to ensure the safety of employees within the workplace, and it is important to ensure employers are aware of these requirements.

Ergonomic Assessments are vital for those employees who are required to spend significant amounts of time at a workstation.

When should Ergonomic Assessments be completed?

  • At the commencement of employment
  • Following an injury (workplace or non-compensable)
  • Following a prolonged period of time away from the workplace
  • Recent workstation relocation or adoption of new equipment.

Why are Ergonomic Assessments important?

Ergonomic Assessments are completed to educate employees and employers on the importance of maintaining ergonomically appropriate positions when working at a workstation.

These assessments allow for a review of the workstation and for the assessor to complete workstation modifications at the time of the assessment, and further equipment recommendations (if required) for ongoing use.

Whilst this assessment will take into account the specific equipment and workplace requirements, education will also be provided on behaviours relating to rest breaks, symptom monitoring and management and appropriate working environments.

What is included?

  • Face to face or video-link assessment.
  • Education on appropriate working positioning.
  • A completed report provided to the referrer with recommendations and observations.
  • Procurement of recommended equipment (if required).
Re-assessment for education on new equipment (if required).

Additional Benefits

We offer a reduced price for multiple assessments and can guarantee quick and efficient scheduling and completion of reports to ensure modifications can be implemented as soon as possible.

We are guarantee assessments within a short timeframe, with a quick report turn around for all recommendations to be implemented and the employees to be working as comfortable and efficiently as possible as soon as possible.
